Generation Z (Generation I, Internet Generation, iGeneration)
Generation Z includes the generation of people living in Western or First World countries. Generation Z consists of children from Generation Jones, Generation X, and Cold Y Generation.
Experiences
- The generation is young. Theories about the generation are being created and few authoritative works have been produced about the generation.
- Generation Z are active consumers, with a high degree of influence over their parents' purchasing decisions.
- Generation Z is connected with communication and media technologies including DVDs, the Internet, instant messaging, text messaging, MP3 players, cell phones, and YouTube
- The communication source most frequently used for the generation is the internet. Generation Z show very little verbal communication skills because the generation uses instant action and satisfaction due to internet technology.
- Generation Z does not believe in personally meeting their friends and developing relationships.
- The people of Generation Z do not do excel in public speaking and regard privacy.
- The generation is impatient because they desire instant results.
- Generation Z is nicknamed "digital natives"
- Generation Z have grown up in a culture with widespread equality in roles of sexes at work and at home (single-parent or same-sex parent families are commonplace along with two-income families)
- It is anticipated that Generation Z will have a strong social conscience and work ethic.
- Generation Z is differnet than Generation Y because it is the first generation to have parents and children encounter technology together.
